The service comprises: This service comprises information on research projects financed by the State Committee for Scientific Research (now the Ministry of Scientific Research and Information Technology).

Stored data: Data presented relate to contests VII - XXIV which took place in the years 1994 - 2003.

The description of a project comprises:
number of the project,
title of the project,
data concerning the manager of the project (title/academic degree, first name, last name),
place of realization of the project (full name and address of the institution where the project was carried out),
duration of the realization time of the project (in months),
dates of starting and finishing the realization of the project,
funds allocated towards the realization of the project,
name of Division and Section of the State Committee for Scientific Research which supervised the realization of the project,
reference to the description of the project sent to the Information Processing Centre in the framework of the SYNABA system,
brief characteristic of the project*
list of publications following the realization of the project*,
reference to the description of the project sent to the Information Processing Centre in the framework of the SYNABA system**

Search by:
SIMPLE method; once the word or its fragment searched for is entered, the system retrieves all projects whose titles or descriptions contain the given sequence of characters.
COMPLEX method (recommended) - when it is possible to use simultaneously several search criteria, such as: number of the project, title, name of the manager, description of results, type of the project, status of the project, number of contest, name of division, name of section.
ADVANCED - even most detailed queries are acceptable and sorted by results according to the selected elements of the description of the project. The applicable criteria may be: number of the project, title, name of the manager, institution realizing the project, location (town) of the realizing institution, location (voivodeship) of the institution, number of the contest, type of the project, duration of realization, starting date, date of completion, total sum of allocated funds, description of results, list of publications, status, name of division, name of section.

As a result of search, the list of projects meeting the search criteria are highlighted. Apart from the abridged description of the project, the list may also comprise icons which denote, respectively:
- a description of the project comprises its brief characteristic,
- a list of publications following the realization of the project is available,
- the project has been identified in the SYNABA II service; for these projects, apart from a brief characteristic and bibliography, additional information is available, concerning the manager of the project and the institution which is realizing or was realizing it.

  * regards the projects descriptions of which have been sent to the Information Processing Centre, are included in the SYNABA I service and contained information enabling their full ideantification.

** Regards the projects descriptions of which have been sent to the Information Processing Centre, are included in the SYNABA II service and contained information enabling their full identification (correctly given number of the project).
