The service comprises: Information on conferred degrees of doctor, doctor habilitatus and confirmations of diplomas.

Volume: About 50,000 descriptions (around 40,000 degrees of doctor, 10.000 degrees of doctor habilitatus, 200 confirmations of diplomas).

Stored data: Generally the database deals with degrees of doctor and doctor habilitatus conferred after 1990. Data on doctor's degrees from the earlier period are incomplete and they are usually obtained at the time of notification about habilitations.

Detailed description:
Information relevant for this database reaches the Centre through the Ministry of National Education and Sports. Institutions conferring academic degrees are obliged to complete and send to the Ministry a form of "Notification about conferring a degree...". The Ministry hands over to the Information Processing Centre a complete information on degrees of doctor and doctor habilitatus for a given year.

Description of the dissertation contains:
personal data of persons who received a degree of doctor or doctor habilitatus,
title of dissertation,
date of initiating the process and date of obtaining the academic degree,
data concerning the institution in which the dissertation was conducted,
information on the degree conferred,
information on the field of study related to the theme of dissertation,
information on professors conferring the degree and reviewing the thesis.
