The service comprises: Information on scientific institutions (institutes affiliated to the Polish Academy of Sciences and schools of higher education), research and development institutes as well as institutions supporting science such as archives, museums and scientific libraries.

Volume: About 7.300 descriptions.

Stored data: Data are continually accumulated and updated.

Description of an institution includes:

• full name,
• postal address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, www,
• first name and surname of the director, his deputies and chairperson of the scientific council,
• main directions of scientific and research activities,
• authorisation to confer academic degrees, information on postgraduate studies and doctoral studies conducted by the institution,
• list of names of employees possessing at least a doctor's degree,
• titles of scientific periodicals published by the institution,
• titles of doctoral and qualifying theses being conducted in the institution,
• titles of scientific and research and development projects as well as expert's appraisements recently carried out in the institution,
• names of subordinate units.
