Decision-making and Advisory Institutions Acting in the Sphere of Science


The service comprises: Descriptions of institutions and offices of State Administration as well as non-governmental advisory organisations that influence the directions and implementation of the state scientific policy.
Information available is related, among others, to the activities of the State Committee for Scientific Research, Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The service does not carry information on all units of a particular office and contains exclusively descriptions of these organisational units involved in the realisation of the scientific policy understood in the broad sense of the term.

Volume: About 400 descriptions.

Data stored: Data are continually accumulated and updated.

Description of an institution contains:

• full name,
• postal address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, www,
• information on management,
• information on the composition of managerial boards,
• information on the composition of the organistion,
• range of activities,
• titles of periodicals published by the institution,
• names of subordinate units.
