The service comprises: Information on living persons acting in the sphere of science in Poland (mainly staff of scientific and research and development institutions) who possess at least a doctoral degree. The information on the limited number of persons who do not hold any academic degree does not, as a rule, contain detailed data and refers mostly to managers of research work institutions or those holding managerial positions in complementary scientific institutions.

A description of a person comprises:

• field of scientific activity and field of study,
• place of employment,
• responsibilities,
• titles of doctoral and qualifying dissertations,
• research projects supervised by the person in question,
